Discipline is one of the most applicable factors to myself. Whether in work at the dispatch center, while in school, or just day to day activities I am very structured and disciplined. For example, I must show up for every shift on time and ready to work and while at work I must adhere to all policies and procedures while call-taking, if not done so I could endanger myself or other citizens. Working in the law enforcement field runs heavily on discipline whether it be through call taking procedures or policy adherence there is little room for error and everything must be done correctly all the time.
Being responsible is one of the most important things in life. While at work, I am responsible for citizens and ensuring their safety. While in my off time, I am a full-time student, and I am responsible for finishing all assignments on time and making sure they are completed to a high standard. Overall responsibility is an important part of everyone's life, whether in decision-making or day-to-day activities.
Focus is critical in my work field as well as in school. When doing assignments, it's important to focus and retain as much information as possible. While at work, the same applies when gathering information on a call. For example, on a 911 call, we must focus on every detail of the call to gather all the important information as fast as possible while filtering out the unimportant information. Overall, focusing on a professional and educational level is one of my most important strengths.
Like my other strengths, restorative applies to my work and school. While at work, we must gather all important info and try to restore calm as quickly as possible to assist people in their time of need. While in school, for example, in my coding-related classes, I often have to work to figure out why a piece of code may be causing issues. Once I find it, I have to fix it and restore the program to working order. Overall, restorative greatly applies to me in many aspects and is a very important strength to me.
Strategic thinking mainly applies in my field of work, where more often than not we must use an out-of-the-box method to problem-solve. As the strength card states, you must be able to see the whole field. You must be able to assess the whole situation and find the best path to the solution. Being strategic in school is important on a much smaller level; for example, I must plan what assignments I am going to do and when to complete all fo the time. Overall benign strategic is important and applies to many parts of my life.
I find that realtor is the strength I need to work on the most for multiple reasons. The biggest reason is that, as a very task-oriented person driven by things like work or school, I often put relationships to the side. I think going to social events with current friends could be a good way to deepen my current relationships and build new ones. Overall, I think that I have fairly decent social skills, but utilizing them and not being so work-focused could make life much less stressful and less straining.
